It should also be cleaned daily.
This does not apply to pet rats. They can be attacked by parasites, but these usually do not pass on to humans.
On the contrary: pet rats are also called “pet rats”. Among them there are exceptionally beautiful species, such as the snow-white “Albino” with cherry-red button eyes, the white-gray patterned “Husky” with the typical forehead blaze, the “Black Berkshire” with white paws, white tail tip and white spot on the forehead or the “bare back”, whose head, chest and shoulders are brightly colored and the rest of the body is uniformly white.
The cage should not be in the nursery or bedroom. Because the little animals are nocturnal. Scurrying around in the cage can be annoying. The rats sleep in the morning and should be left alone. The best location for the cage is a draft-free, protected corner.
You should plan around 200 euros for basic equipment including feed. The large cage can be equipped with ready-made or self-made ladders, floors, houses, hammocks, climbing ropes. For the animal itself, between ten and 20 euros is estimated.
That’s not true. Pet rats are very clean animals, do extensive grooming and groom themselves like cats. Pet rats even get used to toilets like cats.

The unequivocal answer from veterinarian Dr. Stefan Augustiniok says: No. His reason: "After all, out in nature there is only one mouse." Young cats are suckled by their mother for the first two months and after that they get along well with normal food. In the opinion of the veterinarian, specially tailored products for kittens are therefore nothing more than "marketing".

A shy indoor cat needs hiding places to get used to the new environment. That helps her to dare. “Lots of empty cardboard boxes that are arranged in a tunnel help to overcome large spaces,” says veterinarian Dr. Chantal knight.
The vet gives another important tip: “The litter box should be as close as possible to the hiding place for the first time so that no mishap occurs. Only later, when the shy cat has got used to it, can the toilet be put in its designated place. “
Specialist garden shops also have special snail fences that you can use to protect your beds.
If dogs are not on a leash, they usually never approach each other head-on, but rather avoid each other and sniff each other. That is considered polite in dog language "confrontation" however, is a threatening gesture. When walking on a leash, however, the animal politeness rituals are limited and the individual distance is not met. Some dogs react aggressively to this. Make a small curve and therefore lead your four-legged friend so that the dogs do not have to walk directly past each other.
If you have access to a fenced property, such as an allotment garden, move the exercise there in the first few weeks. In this way, you can practice commands such as sitting, sitting down or standing with your new companion stress-free and without distraction, and also let him off the leash safely. If the communication between owner and dog works well, expand the area to a dog meadow.
In Germany, the size 38 sweater fits perfectly. In Italy, the 38 top looks like squeezed in. Because what is a 38 there would be a 32 in this country. Tourists have to deduct three numbers to convert the Italian sizes into German, explains style consultant Ines Meyrose from Hamburg. In France it is only a size difference. The German 38 would be a 40 there.
Horoscope – Annual Horoscope 2013: This is how your stars are
The conversion is a little more difficult for English and American sizes. There visitors must instead of the principle "Minus three sizes" or "Minus two" Imprint a different starting value, explains personal shopper Sonja Grau from Ulm. In the US, the German 32 is a 4, the 34 is a 6, the 36 is an 8 – and so on. In the UK, that conversion has been shifted one size, says Meyrose. The 32 is a 6, the 34 an 8.
If the conversion is overwhelming, you should look out for the European standard sizes: "The international standard sizes from XS to XXXL are generally quite easy to handle" says gray. Many manufacturers are already placing these standard sizes next to the local ones. Despite everything, tourists have to be aware of one thing: they cannot rely on size specifications. "These are still only guidelines" so gray.
If you as a 38 woman in Italy – apparently correctly – reach for the 44, you can still be surprised in the changing room with trousers that are too short or sweater sleeves. Because the second problem is already waiting: "They assume different proportions" explains Meyrose. Arm length, leg length, waist and chest circumference in relation to body size – on average, people in different regions are built differently.
"The typical woman in Germany is slightly A-shaped" says Meyrose. Means: a little less breasts and more hips. In France and Italy, women are more delicate and squat, arm and leg lengths are shorter. In Asia, too, people are more delicately built on average. In the Scandinavian countries it is said: "bigger, wider, longer" explains Grau. In Great Britain and the USA the dimensions are generally more generous. In the USA in particular, the sizes are a bit wider, says Meyrose.
And as if buyers didn’t have enough to do with different size descriptions and proportions, there is another component: the brands. Manufacturers interpret sizes for themselves, explains Gerd Müller-Thomkins, Managing Director of the German Fashion Institute in Cologne. There is a business-strategic mindset behind this. Some brands cheat on sizes and pass a 40 as a 38. "Then you would rather go shopping where they appear slimmer" explains Müller-Thomkins.
Other brands deliberately choose a target group – for example petite women and slim men – and interpret the sizes for this target group. "There are brands that some sizes don’t even carry" says Müller-Thomkins. "You don’t want to make clothes for everyone." After the conversion, tourists not only have to consider the body characteristics of the respective region, but also brand characteristics.
And two other factors endanger the reliability of the sizes: fashion and time. Sometimes it’s fashion, tailored to the body, sometimes remote, explains Thomas Rasch, managing director of the GermanFashion fashion association in Cologne. Over the years, the average measurements have also changed. A few years ago there was therefore a large-scale study in which around 11,000 Germans were measured. The result: We have become bigger and thicker, says Rasch. Some manufacturers have adapted to the new figures: Today’s 38 is larger than the 38 from the 1960s.
All of these factors lead to one result: "Don’t buy anything without trying it on" advises Meyrose. For holidaymakers in Italy, France or Asia, the style consultant also recommends: "Buy an L when it fits, even if you usually have a 36." If you are embarrassed about this, you can cut out the sign.
When shopping online from foreign countries and from labels with which buyers have no experience, consumers should make sure that they can return the clothing free of charge. If that’s the case, it’s worth ordering a selection of two to three sizes, says Meyrose.

In the end, consumers can also take advantage of the chaos of size for their own purposes. Small, petite women shop in Italy or online with Italian designers, tall people stick to Scandinavia or the Netherlands. So you shop where the clothes are best tailored to your figure.
Face cream, lipstick, eye care, hand cream or body lotion: Many cosmetic products contain vitamin A. The active ingredient is used to tighten the skin and smooth out small wrinkles. Therefore, the vitamin is preferably found in anti-aging products. But the substance is not entirely harmless. The Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) advises caution.
The BfR recommends not taking in too much vitamin A through cosmetic products. Because an overdose can cause headaches and nausea. If too much is chronically ingested through food and cosmetics, the liver could become diseased and the skin flaky. Consumers can tell whether the cosmetic product contains vitamin A from names such as retinol, retinyl palmitate, tretinoin or axerophthol.
The German Nutrition Society (DGE) recommends a daily dose of around one milligram of the so-called retinol equivalents for adults; it should not be more than three milligrams. Anyone who has an increased risk of osteoporosis and bone fractures should consume a maximum of 1.5 milligrams per day. These include postmenopausal women.
But the limit is quickly exceeded: It is known from consumption studies that women can already ingest 1.8 milligrams of retinol through a normal diet. The available data also showed that in the worst case, vitamin A intake through cosmetic products could add another 25 percent. The BfR advises that the additional intake through the use of cosmetic products containing vitamin A should therefore be limited.

For comparison: 100 grams of veal liver contains almost 25 milligrams of vitamin A. A medium-sized carrot or a portion of spinach can already cover the daily requirement.
Many women find their eyelashes too short or too thin. Are you wondering: "How do my eyelashes grow longer?" The cosmetics industry offers many products that promise relief.
